James A. L. Fisher was born circa 1828 in Sissonville, Kanawha County, West Virginia. He was the son of George Fisher and Frances A Lanham.[1]

In 1880, James (age 38) was living in Poca District, Kanawha, Virginia, with his wife Margaret and their children (Josina, Louis M., Henrietta, Jon W. and Sydney). His occupation was farm laborer.[4]

Death
