Biography

Alfred was born in 1861 in Old Buckingham, Norfolk. He is the son of Elijah Fisher and Mary Potter according to the 1861 census.

In 1861 Alfred was less than 1 Year old, living with his parents in Old Buckenham Norfolk, Norfolk, England ^[1].

In 1871 he was 10 years old, living with his parents in Old Buckenham Norfolk, Norfolk, England ^[2].

In 1881 he was 20, living with his parents in Old Buckenham Norfolk, Norfolk, England. He was working as a mole destroyer, which was also his fathers occupation^[3].

On 1st November 1885 he was christened as a 24 year old, in Old Buckenham, Norfolk, England. He may not have been christened as a child because his parents were non-conformists^[4].

In 1891 he was 36 years old, living with Emma (28) and 3 children in Old Buckenham, Norfolk, England. He was a mole destroyer^[5].

In 1901 he was 40 (should be 46) living with Emma (39) in Old Buckenham, Norfolk, England, United Kingdom, living with his 5 children and working as a farm Labourer^[6].

He died in 1907 and was buried on 20 December 1907 at Old Buckingham, Norfolk^[7].

Research notes

There is a possible marriage on family search to Emma Gibbs, but this has the wrong age for Alfred and his fathers name is given as Josiah instead of Elijah, so not sure it fits
