Biography
Temperance was born in 1836. Her father Robert Fisher ran a confectionery business and many of the Fisher family were occupied in it.
After her husband Francis Charles Ferris died in his early forties, Temperance married again, in 1877. Her spouse was Walter Hill, a 'chemyst'. Unfortunately no further details can be offered at present as the couple, under whatever name, then disappear from UK records and can be supposed to have emigrated.
Temperance had three daughters by her marriage to Ferris. They seem to have been somewhat 'dumped' by their mother, and in 1881 are found - if at all - living with aunts or other family members, whether Ferris or Fisher.
