Electa, reputedly the daughter of Sylvanus Fisher and Nancy Yarborough,[citation needed] is said to have been born 26 February 1819 in Perry County, Tennessee.[1][2]
About 1837 in Decatur County, Tennessee, she married Charles W. Fisher, possibly the son of Michael and Mary Fisher.[citation needed] They had a large family:
1850 Decatur County, Tennessee Charles (age 32, farmer) and Electa Fisher (32), and their children Jonathan (11), Mary "Elizabeth" (9), Charles William (8), Michael R. (6), Lucinda Caroline (4) and Paul Hilyard Fisher (1) as well as Alfred Tayler (16, farmhand). [1]

1860 Decatur County, Tennessee Charles (age 42, farmer on own land) and Electa Fisher (40, illiterate), Jonathan E. (21), Mary "Elizabeth" (19), Charles William (17, farmer), Michael R. (16, farmer), Lucinda Caroline (13), Paul Hilyard Fisher (11), Nancy Jane (6) and Narcis Fisher (one month).[2]
She passed away in 1889. [3]
