The dates show that Peggy (Margaret Fisher) was married to Matthew Harkness at 15 years old, and was five months pregnant when they married.
The marriage witnesses were John K. McKeen, her cousin, and Wm. Taylor, her second cousin. Presumably William Taylor
When Matthew Harkness died in 1823 she would have been left with two children and presumably no occupation and no money. It is thought she went to live with her second cousin once removed, Matthew Taylor, who she married in 1827.
