DR. JOHN FISHER born in 1794 in Virginia. His parents are unconfirmed. Either his family moved to Kentucky, or he relocated before 1819. He married Sarah “Sally” Daughtertee (1801-Aft. 1870), daughter of John Daughetee and Susan Parker, in 1819. They had 10 children: Caroline (1820-1878); Hortense; Josephine; Armilda; Miranda; Simeon; Samantha; Eleanor; Susan; and John Henry. He must have been an educated man due to being a physician. He lived in Estill County, Kentucky until around 1850, when the census notes him living in the neighboring Clark County. In 1855 they sold their property and moved to Clay County, Indiana, where he died in 1865. Sarah went on to live with her daughter Susan Brann and died after 1870.
