Birth and Parents

Daniel Fiske was born in Massachusetts.

Daniel, the first son and third child of Daniel Fiske and Deliverance Brown was born 12 May 1748 at Sturbridge, Massachusetts.[1]

Marriage and Children

Daniel married Elizabeth A. Morse, daughter of John and Elisabeth (Bugbee) Morse 12 November 1781 at Sturbridge, Worcester, Massachusetts.[2]They had ten children born at Sturbridge, Worcester, Massachusetts:

  1. Joshua Fiske (b. 25 Sep 1775),[3] m. Betsy Cheever (1780-1846)
  2. Moses Fiske (b. 19 Apr 1782; d. 1856),[4] m. 2 May 1811 at Sturbridge, MA, Esther Cheever (1786-1863)

The 1830 U.S. Census indicates that Daniel was living in Cazenovia, Madison, New York with a woman between 70 and 80 years of age, likely his wife.[16]

Death and Burial

Daniel Fiske Jr. died 1 July 1839 at Cazenovia, New York and is buried in the New Woodstock Cemetery at New Woodstock, Madison, New York.[17]

I have already contacted the PM for this second Fiske profile and requested that the merge take place with Fiske-598 being the final version. I spent a great deal of time writing, inline sourcing and adding family and photo to Fiske-598, an ancestor in January 2021, which was originally created in 2013. Thank you.

Please make sure that Fiske-598 is the final profile in the merge given that this was the first profile created and a great deal of time was spent creating this profile and gathering sources for it, his wife and children. There is minimal information on the profile for Fiske-1633. I am surprised that Fiske-598 did not appear when this latest one was created. Perhaps we need a stronger warning to compare before creating 2nd and 3rd profiles of the same person. Thank you.
