John Fiske was born in Suffolk, England.

John was the son of William and Anna Anstey Fiske; he was born about 1580 in Suffolk, England.[1] He was executor of brother-in-law William Candler's will, named in his father and mother-in-law 's Lawter's wills, and was executor for his father.[2]

Marriage and Children

John married second cousin Anne Lawter, the daughter of Robert and Mary Fiske Lawter and they had five children:

  1. Rev. John Fiske (bp 20 Mar 1607/8; d. ) (emigrant to New England); m. 1) Anne Gippes; m. 2) widow Elisabeth Hinchman
  2. Anne Fiske (bp 01 Apr 1610; d. ) (emigrant to New England) m. Francis Chickering
  3. Nathaniel Fiske (b. ; d, as an infant 27 Mar 1614)
  4. Martha Fiske (emigrant to New England); m. Capt. Edmund Thompson
  5. William Fiske (emigrant to New England); m. Bridget Matchet

Death and Burial

John Fiske died and was buried on May 14, 1633 at South Elmham St. James. His widow Anne died on her voyage to New England.[1]

Another direct ancestor here, thanks for the corrections Carol.
It is highly unlikely that Fiske-56 would have fathered Fiske-114 at age 9. I have checked my records and there are date discrepancies for Fiske-56 anywhere from 1572 to 1584 to unknown. I am changing Fiske-56 birthdate to 1580 based on the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, 1847-2011, as well as North Am Family Histories 1500-2000.
