Montpelier, Ind. -- Funeral services for John A. Fitch Sr., 64, former widely known auctioneer of this community, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of the Walker Mortuary, followed by burial in the IOOF cemetery, north of this city.
The body is expected to arrive in Montpelier about noon Saturday from Detroit, where death occurred early Thursday at St. John's Hospital. Mr. Fitch had been in failing health for the past three years.
Survivors are the widow, Genevieve; one son, John A. Fitch Jr., a member of the Montpelier city council; four daughters, Mrs. Olive Myers, Sylvania, O.; Mrs. Marguerite Malott, Mrs. Eleanor Malott, and Mrs. Lena Runkle, all of Montpelier.
