Biography

Gilbert is the son of Johannes and Catherine Fite. He settled in North Carolina for a couple years before he moved to Kentucky. He married Eva Earlywine and had several children. Among those children (not necessarily in birth order) are:

• Jacob, moved to Brown, Ohio then Tennessee

• Mary, m. Daniel Earlywine
• Nancy, m. James Harrison Martin
• Sarah, m. Mr. Martin

Note: In the marriage bond for daughter Mary and Daniel Earlywine, his name was spelled "FIGHT".^[1]
