1st Earl of Munster.
George Augustus Frederick FitzClarence was born in 1794. He was the son of William IV Hannover and Dorothea Bland Jordan.
He was created 1st Earl of Munster, Viscount FitzClarence and Baron Tewkesbury by his father on 4 June 1831, and was made a Privy Councillor in 1833. The "Earl of Munster" had been a title held by his father before his accession to the British throne.
On 20 March 1842 he committed suicide at the age of 48 in London. He shot himself with a pistol presented to him by King George IV when Prince of Wales. [1]
