Augustus Charles Lennox FitzRoy was born on 20th September 1821 in Euston Hall, Euston, Suffolk, England.[1] He was the eldest child of Charles FitzRoy, eldest son of General Lord Charles FitzRoy, and his wife, Mary Lennox, daughter of General Charles Lennox, 4th Duke of Richmond.
He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery. He fought in the Crimean War, sustaining wounds at Sebastopol (now Sevastopol, Ukraine), from which he succumbed on 11th September 1855.[2]
