Ann emigrated to New Zealand on the Indus in 1842.

She gave birth to a son on board the ship, 26 January 1843. ^[1]

1843/1844 Riwaka Settler

Ann was living at Riwaka, Nelson but died on 17 July 1873 while visiting her daughter, Mrs. J. Plank of Christchurch. ^{[2] [3] [4]}

She originally bequeathed her lands to her three sons:

• Edward Fitzgerald McNabb
• Robert McNabb
• John McNabb

However in a later codicile she bequeathed them only a life interest and left her lands to her grandchildren by her three sons.^[5]
