John Fitzgerald was born on 9th June 1905 at the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin. He is the son of John Fitzgerald (a tailor) and Lillie Carabine who were living at 16 Benburb Street, Dublin. [1][2][3]
Sadly, John died at the age of only two weeks at the family home, 16 Benburb Street, on 24th June 1905. [4][5] The cause of his death was recorded as premature birth and exhaustion.
John's three oldest siblings also died young. There were two more children born in the family after John's death, one of whom was also called John and the other was called Francis.
Baptism record:
It is possible that John was baptised in a local church soon after his birth. The baptism records for this period are not publicly available yet, so this could be researched in the future.
Burial record:
It is likely that John is buried in Glasnevin cemetery. His brother James who died in 1909 aged 6 years is buried there, but no record has been found for John's burial. Records for infants under one year seem to be not available on the web-search for this cemetery.
