Biography

Ethel was born at 32 Peter Street, Westminster, London on the 28th March 1906, the daughter of Frank Fitzjohn (1875 - ) and Clara Rebecca (Quin) Fitzjohn (1880 - 1939). Her birth was registered on the 10th May 1906 in Westminster, London. She was christened on the 22nd April 1906 at St Anne's Church, Soho, Westminster, London.^[1][2][3][4]

1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 Ethel was living at 45 Warren Street, St Pancras, Middlesex with her parents Frank and Clara, her siblings Ada and Frank, and her mother's sister Nelly Quin.^[5][6]

In the 1921 census Ethel (age 15), Dress Making, was the single daughter of Frank Fitzjohn at 66 Robert Street, St Pancras, London & Middlesex, England.^[7]

In 1929 and 1930 Ethel was living at 7 Munster Square, Camden, Middlesex with her parents Frank and Clara, and her sister Ada was also there for some of that time.^[8][9]

Ethel married Albert Charles Hazlewood in Pancras, Middlesex and the marriage was registered in the 4th quarter 1931.^[10]

1939 National Register on the 29th September 1939 Ethel was living with her husband Albert at 65 Ascot House, St Pancras, Middlesex.^[11]

Ethel died in 1995 and her death was registered in May 1995 in Camden, London.^[12][13]

The spelling of Ethel's husband's surname varied throughout his lifetime between Hazlewood and Hazelwood. Not having found a record of his birth there is no definite version to apply.
