You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I am checking in to see how it is going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had time to look, were they helpful?
I'm here to help with questions about how WikiTree works. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.
PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.
I am pleased to confirm you as a full member. Now you can start adding your family members.
WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to make your way around more easily.
New Member Pages
Next week you'll hear from a Member who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.
I hope you will find joy working on your family information here.
Emma ~~ Wiki Greeter
P.S. Some people have trouble accessing the new member link from their email. If this happens, you can click on it from your profile page.
I am sorry for your loss.
To become a member (which is free), you only need to add a few tags showing genealogy interest and click on the volunteer button. Volunteering simply means you will abide by our honor code of kindness and respect to others and a commitment to good research practices.
To volunteer, go to your "My WikiTree" tab at the top right of your screen. Then click on NAV Home Page. It will give you instructions on completing tags. Enter any surnames, locations or events you are interested in. Then be sure to click the Volunteer button at the bottom. A greeter will then confirm your membership and you can take the next step of adding your family.
