Charles Lawrence Flanagan, known as Charlie, was born in the Nelson province of New Zealand on the 2nd of April 1889. He was the ninth of 15 children born to William Flanagan and Betsy Brown who lived at Wangapeka. [1]
Charlie Flanagan married, at age 31, to Louisa Elizabeth Seaton.
They were married at the All Saint's Church in Nelson on the 28th of July 1920.
"At All Saint's Church, Nelson, recently Miss Louisa Seaton, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Seaton, formerly of Brunner, was married to Mr. Charles Flanagan, of Nelson, the Rev. Pring Rowe officiating."
