Biography
"The parentage of Alpheus Flanders is presumed. Samuel Flanders married Polly Bailey. Alpheus named his daughter Polly. Alpheus named his son John, and Samuel had a brother named John. Alpheus lived at Fairfield, VT, near where John Flanders lived. It isn't very far fetched to assume that Samuel removed to VT whenever his brother John did. Based on the information on this family, it's a great probability that this is the line of Alpheus." [1]
