Biography

William Fleming is an illegitimate son of Malcolm Fleming, 3rd Lord Fleming. His mother is unknown. [1]

He is mentioned in his father's testament, 15 February 1546, where he is named as a "bastard son" and is provided some part of Hopkelze and the right of marriage to Jean Lindsay of Stirkfield or the profits thereof.[2]

He does not appear after this date and it might be presumed he was killed with his father at Pinkie Cleugh, 10 September 1547.

The bio says that the mother is unknown and neither source currently listed names the mother yet Janet Stewart is shown as the mother. If there are no objections, she should be detached I should think.
