DNA Confirmation Statement

  • Paternal relationship is confirmed through Y-chromosome DNA testing. Anonymous6 Fleming, Relative Genetics kit #86209, son of Stephen Fleming and his 7th cousin twice removed, Anonymous7 Fleming, Relative Genetics kit #97893, son of Leslie Fleming, match at a Genetic Distance of 2 on 43 markers thereby confirming their direct paternal lines back to their MRCA John Fleming 1671 Ireland. TMRCA calculation indicates that the probability the two share a common ancestor approximately 95% within the last 15.7 generations.
  • Paternal relationship is confirmed through Y-chromosome DNA testing. John Calvin Fleming, Jr, Relative Genetics kit #35236, and his 9th cousin once removed, Anonymous6 Fleming, Relative Genetics kit #7934, son of Stephen Fleming, match at a Genetic Distance of 1 on 43 markers thereby confirming their direct paternal lines back to their MRCA John Fleming 1671. TMRCA calculation indicates that the probability the two share a common ancestor approximately 95% within less than the last 11.7 generations. Both share John Fleming 1671 as a common ancestor.
