Nathaniel was born on June 6, 1806 in Sackville, New Brunswick. He was a son of Daniel Fletcher and Molly Ruth (Phinney) Fletcher.[1] At some point later, the family moved to Sunbury County.
Nathaniel married (1) Mary E. Dingee in Wakefield, Carleton County, New Brunswick on September 25, 1833. She was a daughter of James Dingee and Mary E. (Drawyer) Dingee of New Brunswick. He had at least two children by Mary. She passed away in 1836 in Queensbury.[2]
He married (2) Mary Ann Tapley in Sheffield, New Brunswick on July 31, 1837. She was a daughter of John B. Tapley and Anne S. (Estabrooks) Tapley of Sunbury County. He had at least 6 more children by Mary Ann. She passed away in 1850.[3]
He married (3) Jerusha Chute Spurr in Wakefield on October 2, 1851. She was a daughter of Samuel Gilbert Spurr and Rebecca (Chute) Spurr. He had at least 9 more children by Jerusha. She passed away in 1866.
He was recorded as living in Woodstock in 1865 and 1867 and working as a tailor.[4][5]
Having outlived 3 wives and sired at least 17 children, Nathaniel Fletcher passed away on June 12, 1868 in Woodstock leaving a large legacy in Carleton and Sunbury counties.[6]
