DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Gayle or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Gayle:

Hello again Gayle,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Hi Gayle

Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree. Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. It normally takes 24 hours from adding a test, or adding a new ancestor, or ancestor’s descendant, for WikiTree to display your name and test results on your ancestors and their descendants’ profiles for potential cousins to compare results with.

Have fun!

Thank you for the photo of Alfred and Matilda Hill. I have added the photo to the children. Do you know if the boy labeled "Jim" may have been a nickname for Hill-18061|Arthur Harold Hill?
posted by Darren Kellett
Thank you Darren. I was wondering about Jim as well. Never heard my family speak of him. He could well be Arthur Harold Hill. I found a Albert James Hill and he was known as Jim but not sure if he his related. I have more photo's if you would like to see them.

Can I ask what is your interest with the Hills & fletcher side. I am also researching the Cunningham side. Regards Gayle Shaw

Alfred Edward Hill is my 2nd great grandfather and I am descended from Ethel Hill's daughter

It is a small world. Alfred Edward is also my 2nd great grandfather and i am a descendant of Emma Hill (Fletcher). I remember him as a child when he was sick at Emma's home in Newton. Are you related to the Pirrit Family. I new June and met her. Nice to talk with you.

Gayle.

Gayle,

Your mum already has a WikiTree profile, so now that there are two duplicate profiles they need to be merged together. Please review the merge I've proposed and allow for it to go through :) Duplicates harm our tree as our purpose is to create a single family tree. Thank you!

Hi Gayle - Like Amy Utting, I've been busy adding you to various relatives - please ask if you want to be on any others. I'd add you to them all but there is over ten thousand Kilgours! And that's without the Fletcher branches!

Happy hunting and typing, Kathryn

Hi Gayle! I've happily added you to Donald's trusted list. I manage him because he's my grandmother's brother; which makes you a first cousin of my mum! Let me know if I can be of any help to you :)
