Biography

Elsie Fletcher's birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1893 in the Ecclesall Bierlow district.^[1]

In the 1911 census Elsie (age 18), was the single daughter of Frank Fletcher at 45 Tillotson Rd Heeley, Yorkshire, England.^[2]

She married by Banns when she was single, aged 20 and living at 31Alexander Road in Heeley a batchelor of 22 working as a Machine Fitter married Joseph Hulley son of Joseph Hulley, a Fork manufacturer on 25 December 1913 at Christ Church, Heeley, Yorkshire, England. The witnesses to the ceremony were Frank Fletcher and Alice Fletcher.

Joseph it would appear died in 1917 as an Able Seaman during the First Word War

She married again the following on the 29th of July a batchelor aged 29 Bernard Welburn son of Robert Welburn who had survived the war
