Born with Down Syndrome, Judy was the eighth child born to Francis Summers Fletcher and Margaret (Fish) Fletcher {nee Georgie Geraldine Brookings}. She lived for some years with her older sister Nancy while residing in Pennsylvania. After her sister Nancy's death, she went back to California to live, where she was diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease, and she spent the last years of her life in a home for Alzheimer patients. She is buried with her parents in Arlington National Cemetery.
