I apologize for not following this post more closely! The Chandler Family Association has a DNA Project. While only male Chandlers can be tested, Sophia's line falls into Group 8. To date, there have been over 130 separate lines of Chandlers identified. Much of my information comes from the late John Anthony "Tony" Chandler from Gilmorton. There is an extensive group of G8s across the pond. As yet, we have not identified the emigrant ancestor that ties us to Leicestershire! I am a bit distracted in my Chandler research with more irons in the fire than I have brain cells to organize them. I hope to get back to you soon with some more extraneous information!
