Biography
Edith Louise was born in 1881. Her birth was registered in Portsea island and her mother's maiden name was Harding. [1]
In the 1881 census Edith was one of 5 children living with parents James and Martha in Portsmouth. James was a Mariner. [2]
On 27 June 1914 George married Edith Louise Fletcher in Upton St Leonards. George was a Labourer as was his father Thomas. Edith's father was a Seaman. [3]
The couple weren't married long, George died in WWI 4 months later.
Edith remarried in 1918, to Ronald Hines. Their marriage was registered in Gloucester. [4]
