Biography

George Fletcher was born in 1839 in Lancashire, England.^[1]

In 1841, George, 14 months, with his parents Josiah and Anne, and brother Edmund, emigrated to New South Wales on the "Salsette". ^[2]

He married Emily Jane Tomkins in 1866 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.^[3] Their children were:
