Interest in history especially family history's and these families contributions to historical events no matter how minor it may seem. I am one of the founding members of the Hispanic Genealogical Society in Houston about 35 years ago. This year a group of societies will be presenting the '36th Annual Texas State Hispanic Genealogical and Historical Conference' hosted by the Las Villas Del Norte society in Laredo. My grandparents (mother's side) has eight children most with large families. So I have several first cousins most also with large who have become more and more interested in their family history. I have traced some line back seven generations and still looking (as we all are). Family names include: Sepulvedo, Flores, Grimaldo, Pescina, Padilla, .....
