Biography

Seaton was born about 1846. He is the son of Matthew Floyd and Elizabeth Miles. His mother died shortly after his birth.

Confederate War: Enlisted as private on 16 Nov 1861. Mustered out on 03 May 1862. Enlisted in Company C, Georgia 55th Infantry Regiment on 17 May 1862. Was captured and held as a Prisoner of War.

He married Margaret McNeese of Dooly Co. Georgia. They had a son Seaton Benjamin Floyd.

Second marriage to Sarah Ann Stone. They had a daughter Elizabeth M. Floyd.

He stayed in Georgia when most of the family had replaced to Florida. He joined them much later.
