Steve was born October 5, 1954 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Silas Edgar Floyd and Stella Denton Floyd. He was a 1973 graduate of White County High School. In the early 1980s, Steve developed an interest in flying and obtained his Pilot's license. He enjoyed farming, golf, and teasing his nieces and nephews. Most of all, he loved being with family and his long time friends, many of whom have been friends for 60 years. He was a former manager of Coachman Men's Store. Most notably, he has helped operate the family grocery business, Floyd's Cash Saver, for the last 40 years.

Steve Floyd was born on October 5, 1954 in Sparta, White, Tennessee, United States, son of Silas Edgar Floyd (1921–1992) and Stella Dee Denton (1923–2006).^[1]

Steve died on June 23, 2021 in Sparta, aged 66. He was buried in Copelands Chapel Cemetery, Sparta, White County, Tennessee.^[1]
