Biography
Johnson Hugh was born in 1790. He passed away in 1867. [1]
Research Notes:
Johnson Floyd b. 1790 did not marry Susan Thompson b.1823. Johnson Hugh Floyd b.1818 (son of Johnson Floyd b.1790) did marry Susan Thompson. Their son William Pinkney Floyd b.1845 died 1864 at Petersburg, Virginia in Civil War.
Hugh Floyd was born ca 1779/80 per his age on the 1850 census (70). He was born in Georgetown District, now Horry County, South Carolina, a son of Francis Floyd and Isabel Johnston. He is named as their son in Francis's estate records.
Hugh appears to be with his parents for the 1790 census aged under 16 (born 1774/1790). He still seems to be home in 1800, aged 16-25 (1774/84).
Hugh Floyd married someone before ca 1805 in Horry District.
