John was born in 1811. He was the son of the Rev. William Floyer and his wife Elizabeth Barton,[1] He passed away in 1887. [2]
He was educated at Winchester College and Ballioll College Oxford, where he played cricket for the University.
He was member of Parliament for Dorset from February 19, 1846 - March 27, 1857 along with his Father-in-Law George Bankes MP, and then again from February 27, 1864 - November 24, 1885[3]
