Mrs. Josie Flynn Smith, 85 of 2239 Wards Gap Road, Mt Airy, the widow of Will Smith, died Saturday in Winston Salem. Born July 15, 1904 in Surry County, she was the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Robert H Flynn. Surviving are one son, Billy Smith of the home; one granddaughter, Mrs. Vickie Bennett of Maine; three great grandchildren; four half sisters, Mrs. Pauline Nance of Haw River, Mrs. Beulah Bradshaw and Mrs. Hazel Thompson, both of Mebane, and Mrs. Ruth Foust of Greensboro; and two half brothers, Claude Flynn of Mebane and Edward Flynn of Greensboro.
