François Marie Foisy was born on 7 April 1720 and baptized the 21st in Sainte-Trinité parish of Contrecœur, Canada, Nouvelle-France. His parents were Antoine Foisy and Marie Jeanne Lussier. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Raymond Chagnon and Marie Tetrau. The officiating priest was Louis Delafaye.[1]

François Foisi married Marie Élisabeth Vegeard, daughter of Louis Vegiard and Madeleine Marie Pineault, on 30 June 1744 in Saint-François-Xavier parish of Verchères. In the presence of known witnesses Michel Foisi and Louis Vegeard. The celebrant priest was Lajemmerais.[3]
Death and Burial
François Foisy, husband of Élisabeth Vegiard, passed away on 7 June 1803 being given the age of around 84 years on the record. His burial was the following day in Saint-François-Xavier parish cemetery of Verchères, Bas-Canada.[4]
