Thady (Timothy ) FOLEY was born in Ireland c 1815 - 1835. Thady is the Irish name for Timothy. He had cousins in Lahinch, Co Clare.

1859 - Thady was 24 when he sailed out from Ireland, emigrating to Australia with his first cousins, Patrick Foley and Catherine Foley via Liverpool, England on board the ship Greyhound. They arrived in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on 21 November 1859.^[1]A brother and sister of Patrick and Catherine also emigrated to Australia: Denis Foley and Honora Foley.

Thady had cousins from Co Clare. Patrick (born c1835 Co Clare ) and Catherine (b Lahinch, married FLOOD), their parents Michael Foley & Ellen Murphy lived in Lahinch / Attycristora, Co Clare.

Thady was a farmer and died in 1878 after a stay in the Ballarat Hospital.^[2][3] His age is listed as 63, making his birth year around 1815.

Will DIspute

There was a contest for the Probate of his Will etc. One report says he died intestate as the witnessing of his will, while he was in hospital, was not done according to the law. At the bedside signing, that will gave all his property to John MALONE. Someone had said there was no next of kin. ^[4] Probate was granted on 26 August 1879, Grant Recipient to his First Cousin and Next of Kin - Catherine FLOOD, nee FOLEY.
