Elidie was born[1] in 1861, the daughter of James Foley and Esther Fielding of Halls Harbour. She married[2] Stanley in 1888, in the USA, where their two children were born. She died[1] in 1942, and was buried with Stanley in Morristown. Her obituary[3] notes:
There passed away on Sunday morning, March 15th, at her home in Morristown, Kings County, Mrs. Elidie M. Banks after an illness of four weeks, at the age of 80 years. She was the widow of Stanley F. Banks, well known farmer of Morristown, who predeceased her by thirteen years. A native of Hall's Harbour, she went at the age of sixteen years to the U.S.A., where she lived for a number of years, coming to Morristown 46 years ago where she has since resided. Mrs. Banks was of a retiring disposition, living a quiet life, yet always willing to co-operate in church and community affairs and will be sadly missed. She was a member of the Hall's Harbour Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter Lilah (Mrs James W. Jean), who tenderly cared for her during her illness, and one son, Ralph S., of Tampa, Fla. ...
