On 7 Jul 1883 Ellen departed from Plymouth, England on the La Hogue with Denis, Kate, Michael, Martin, Susan, Pat & Margaret. They arrived in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia on 5 Oct 1883. Ellen and Denis remained in the Rockhampton area the remainder of their lives. [3][4][5]
Ellen died on 15 Dec 1913 in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia aged ~77. [6] She is buried at South Rockhampton Cemetery in Allenstown. [7]
