Obituary

James Foley, one of the best known residents of this city, expired at his home, 16 East Sixth Street, last evening after a lingering illness. He was born in this city and was a life long resident here. For many years he was employed as a Malter at the Irwin & Sloan plant. Being an ardent democrat Mr. Foley became active in politics and served many terms as alderman of the second ward. He was a member of St. Paul's church and one of the C.M.B.A. Surviving are four sons, Henry, Frank, John, James, one daughter, Mary Katherine Foley, one sister, Mrs. Jeremiah Hammond, of this city, and two brothers, John and Michael Foley of New York City. The funeral will be held from his home Monday morning at at nine o'clock and from St. Paul's church at 9:30 o'clock. The interment will be made in St. Paul's cemetery.
