John Folsom was born 1799 in Burke County, Georgia to Lawrence Armstrong Folsom and Rachel Vickers. He married his third cousin, Rachel Folsom, in 1822 in Pulaski County, Georgia.[1][2] John passed away in 1857 in Brooks County, Georgia and is buried in the Folsom Cemetery in Ellenton, Georgia.[3]
