Elisha Folsam Rivers, born 1835 in Marshall County, Mississippi, died after 1880 in Oxford, Lafayette County, Mississippi, married Susan Elizabeth Alexander, born 1841, a daughter of Robert Jackson Alexander and Charity Ann McCorkle

Tabitha Rivers, born 1839, also married a Taylor, possibly her sister Jane's husband. Jane died at the age of 34 years, leaving three small children to raise.
