Find a Grave Memorial 70982255 indicates that John was born at Hugo, Choctaw County, Oklahoma. The Trail of Tears was part of the Indian removal, an ethnic cleansing and series of forced displacements of approximately 60,000 Native Americans of the Five Civilized Tribes between 1830 and 1850 by the United States government. It is reasonable to assume that the information on Find a Grave is incorrect. Documentation as to Iso Tek Nashoba as the first wife to John Folsom is sketchy at best. The profile for Iso Tek Nashoba when it was created was sourced from wc.rootsweb.com. She is also referred to as "Daughter of Nashoba" and Nashoba Jones. Her parents were Samuel "Nashoba" Jones and a Unknown Full Blood Choctaw Woman. In the web site folsomfamily.org no name is used simply [3339] and a reference to Elizabeth Knowles Folsom, Genealogy of the Folsom Family-Vol. II, (Folsom Family Association of America, Inc.-1938), p. 817. see:
