The sympathy of the people of the Barony flowed forth freely on the 9th inst. when it was announced that Mrs. Burns SMULLIN of that place had departed this life. Deceased was a d/o John FOLSTER who had been for years foreman for Shaw Bros. of Hawkshaw, but about 12 months ago took a farm on Barony. Mr. and Mrs. Smullin were married in the fall of 1895. Mrs. S. was in manner unassuming and withal cheerful and affectionate. She leaves behind a husband and infant daughter for whom she gave her life in her 22nd year. After divine service by Rev. Wm Ross of Prince William, her remains were interred in the church yard at the Barony.
