Anne Marguerite Fontaine lived
in Canada, Nouvelle-France.

Anne Marguerite was born on 15 February 1701, daughter of Pierre Fontaine (1668-1738) and Marguerite Gentes (1682-1763) in Varennes. She was baptized a few days later, on 20 February 1701, at Sainte-Anne-de-Varennes and her godparents were Jean Baptiste le Brodeur and Anne le Moine.[1]

On 23 Feb 1721 at Sainte-Trinité-de-Contrecoeur, Louis Tetrau, son of Joseph Tetrau and Anne Jarret, married Marguerite Fontaine, daughter of Pierre Fontaine and Marguerite Gentes. Present at the wedding were Jean Tetrau, Pierre Fontaine, Joseph Tetrau, Daniel Dehaies, Rene Monteil, Etienne Gentes. [2]

Marie Anne Fontaine died on 6 October 1781 in Verchères after having received the final sacraments of the church. She was buried two days later on 8 October 1781 in the parish cemetery of Saint-François-Xavier-de-Verchères. Present at the burial were Noel Malboeuf, Joseph Martel, Joseph Casavant, and many others from the parish.[3]

Marguerite est née le 15 février 1701 à Varennes. Fille de Pierre Fontaine (1668-1738) et Marguerite Gentes (1682-1763). Elle était baptisée le 20 février 1701 et ses parrains étaient Jean Baptiste le Brodeur et Anne le Moine.[1]

Marguerite s'est mariée à Louis (Tetreau) Tétreault dit Ducharme (abt.1701-1771), fils de Joseph Marie (Tetreault) Tétreault dit Ducharme (abt.1678-1762) et de Marie Anne (Jarret) Jarret de Beauregard (1681-1746)[2]

Marie Anne Fontaine meurt le 6 octobre 1781 à Verchères après avoir reçu les derniers sacrements de l'église. Elle est enterrée deux jours plus tard, le 8 octobre 1781, dans le cimetière paroissial de Saint-François-Xavier-de-Verchères. Étaient présents à l'inhumation Noel Malboeuf, Joseph Martel, Joseph Casavant et de nombreux autres habitants de la paroisse.[3]
