Biography

Etienne Fontenot has French origins.

Etienne Fontenot, son of Henri Fontenot and Marie Louise Doucet, was born on 22 April 1787 and baptized on 27 July 1787; his birth and baptism were recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]

He married Eugenie Lafleur, daughter of Don Diegue Lafleur and Adrienne Deshotels, on 15 Feb. 1814; their marriage was recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]

Known children of Etienne Fontenot and Eugenie Lafleur:
