He married Marie Francoise Berza, daughter of Joseph Berza and Antoinette Lemoin, about 1788. The births of their children were recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]
He died before 14 March 1842 the date of his succession hearing in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]
