Marie Desneige Jose Fontent, daughter of Lucas Fontenot and Siberine Don Manuel aka Severine de Soto de St. Denis, was born in Opelousas, Louisiana in 1786.^[1]

She married Godefroy Solieau, son of Jean Baptiste Soileau and Marie Jeanne Vidrine, on 6 Oct. 1800; their marriage was recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.^[1]

Following the death of Godefroy, she married Jean Francois Ortego, son of Joacin Ortego and Damacine Don Manuel, on 31 Jan. 1826 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. ^[1]
