Marie Josephine Fontenot was born 19 March 1891 in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Alcee Fontenot and Jane Bennett.[1]

Known to the family as Mary Josephine Fontenot, she was informally adopted by the Reed family, probably after the death of her family. Believed to have a twin brother, Joseph.[2] In 1900 she was counted on the census with them in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[3]

She married Jean Louis Guillory in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana in 1905.[4][5]

Known children of the marriage:
  1. Mary Jency Guillory Arabie (1906)[6]

In 1920 they were living in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana with four children and her sister-in-law.[7]

She died in 1958.[8][9]
