Gurcie Fontenot was born in 1930 to Arcena Fontenot and Corrine Fontenot. She passed away in 2007.

Obituary

Ville Platte – Funeral services for Mrs. Gurcie F. Prudhomme, 77, will be held Friday, July 20, 2007 at 2pm in Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the MB Fontenot Cemetery. Fr. Neal McNeill will officiate the services.

Mrs. Prudhomme, a resident of Ville Platte, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at her residence.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Tom Prudhomme of Ville Platte; one son, Tom Prudhomme, Jr. and wife, Faye of Ville Platte; two daughters, Debbie P. Bourque and husband, Donald and Pamela P. Ortego and husband, Steven of Ville Platte; eight grandchildren, one step grandchild, three great grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son, Richard Flynn Prudhomme and her parents, Arcenia and Corinne Fontenot.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 10am until 10pm and on Friday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:15pm on Thursday. ^[1]
