Biography

Marie Angélique Dit Bellevue Fontenot, daughter of Pierre of Opelousas and Louise Doucet of Fort Toulouse, was born about 1756 possibly at Fort Toulouse or at Opelousas.[1]

She married Noel Soileau on 19 August 1771[2] Some sources give the date as 30 July 1771; this may be date of marriage contract and/or license.[1](notes on Angelique Fontenot Has copy of their marriage contract.)

Noel died before June 1871, the date of his succession in St. Landry Parish.[1]

Angelique died before Aug. 1824 the date of her succession in St. Landry Parish.[1]
