Joseph Philippe dit LaRose Fontenot, son of Philippe Fontenot and Marie Jeanne Brignac, a "native of La Riviere des Alibamons," was born about 1756.[1]

He married Madgelaine Hayes, a native of Cote des allemands [German Coast].[1]
